Dear you,
We believe one of life’s greatest blessings is finding someone to walk through it with. Someone to love, pray with, grow alongside, and build a home with Christ at its centre.
Yet we know how difficult it can be to find someone who shares your faith, convictions, and desire for marriage. We’ve seen it among our friends, in our churches, and throughout our Christian communities. Sometimes, the search can make compromise feel like the only option.
We don’t believe it should have to be that way.
As we turned to Scripture, from the institution of marriage in Genesis 2 to the accounts of Isaac and Rebekah, Jacob and Rachel, and Moses and Zipporah, we were reminded of the beauty and seriousness of marriage. These accounts inspired us to consider the importance of faith, character, intentionality, patience, and family in the pursuit of a spouse.
That is how Union in Christ began.
We wanted to create a place where Christians could meet without setting aside their convictions. Where your story, character, and faith matter more than your appearance. Where getting to know someone isn’t a race, and choosing to pursue them means something.
We want to bring the thoughtfulness of Christian courtship into the way people meet online. Meaningful conversations, prayerful discernment, and the guidance of parents, family, pastors, and those who love us.
Not because there’s a perfect formula for finding a husband or wife, but because marriage is far too precious to pursue carelessly.
And our hope doesn’t end when two people find each other.
We think about the homes they might build, the children they may raise, the churches and communities they will serve, and the years they’ll spend walking together through life’s joys and difficulties.
We pray for marriages that endure.
We know that even the most careful courtship cannot guarantee a marriage without hardship. But we believe the foundation upon which a marriage begins matters deeply.
Perhaps what makes Union in Christ different is that we’re building something we hope you won’t need forever.
In fact, we hope you’ll leave.
We pray that one day, you will no longer need us because you’ve found someone to worship, laugh, grow old, and serve the Lord with.
And if Union in Christ becomes just a small part of that story, we’ll be grateful.
A lifelong union, by God’s grace, in Christ.
Our desire is that even in the pursuit of marriage, Christ would be honoured.
For truly, Christ is Lord.
